Mid Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a Mid Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native backend services and distributed systems on AWS. The position is remote and open to candidates located in LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native backend services and distributed systems on AWS.
• Build scalable, high‑performance, and resilient applications using Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate APIs using GraphQL with Netflix DGS.
• Work with MongoDB Atlas and Aurora MySQL to develop reliable and efficient data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality backend solutions and contribute to technical decisions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in backend‑focused software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas as a NoSQL database.
• Experience with Aurora MySQL on AWS as a relational database.
• Hands‑on experience building cloud‑native distributed systems on AWS.
• Strong experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience developing APIs using GraphQL, preferably with Netflix DGS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
