Mining Proposal Manager, East & LATAM

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Mining Proposal Manager to join its global mining team, based in Lima, Peru or Charlotte, NC. The role leads key proposals and presentations, supporting candidates from pre-RFP positioning and capture through to the interview stage, and leads proposal teams for mining, environmental, infrastructure and water-related contracts. Experience across LATAM and U.S.-based proposals is expected.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large, complex, priority "must-win" proposals from capture through to interview stage, ensuring they are timely, compliant, accurate and persuasive.
• Coach interview, Q&A preparation and team readiness for global or must-win opportunities.
• Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red teams), review debriefs and apply lessons learned to proposals and win plans.
• Serve as compliance reviewer and reviewer on color reviews for priority pursuits, and take part in Go/No-Go decisions, capture strategy and greenlight analyses.
• Report on client pipeline, business development strategy, capture planning, proposal efforts and debriefs, and act as subject matter expert for a client, portfolio or sector.
• Support marketing strategy and content, and may supervise a small number of staff or mentor Bid Management Coordinators or Specialists.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree plus 8 years of related experience, or equivalent experience and education.
• Previous experience leading business proposals in environmental, infrastructure or mining sectors.
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong proposal writing, editing and presentation skills, with a good understanding of proposal best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.

• Desktop publishing and graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop)
• Word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and presentation software (PowerPoint)
• Collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
• CRM; Salesforce experience is a plus
