Project Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

Mondelēz International's Latin American unit (Wacam) is looking for a Project Engineer in automation in Lima. The role supports capital project execution and helps define and deliver the capital and technical agenda during the development phase of capital investments, working with stakeholders to provide accurate budgets, plans and fit-for-purpose technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing and executing capital projects, technical development and feasibility studies of engineering activities in the supply chain.
• Ensure Mondelēz business and innovation project management processes and standards are followed.
• Be accountable for the quality of results and execution of capital projects using Mondelēz standards.
• Help develop the capital budget according to the contract and forecast cash flow.
• Ensure engineering developments and standards are properly implemented.
• Support the development and implementation of processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and roll out best practices.

Required profile

• Experience and knowledge in engineering or operations, analysis and project management.
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation projects and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, including programming experience.
• Experience managing and/or leading automation and/or digitalization projects.

Required skills

• Electrical codes, electrical panel design and control/communication panels.
• PLC/HMI, robots/cobots, AMR/AGV and similar technologies.
• Industrial networks, cybersecurity and IoT/cloud architectures.
