Remote Kernel Developer – Linux Security Patches

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Kernel Developer to join our KernelCare team. You will work remotely from anywhere in LATAM, focusing on creating and maintaining live‑kernel patches that address security vulnerabilities and bugs without requiring system reboots.

Key responsibilities

• Update existing Linux kernels with security fixes and CVE patches in a timely manner.
• Provide support for current functionality and implement new kernel features.
• Collaborate with the automation team and, when needed, write Python or Bash scripts for testing and validation.
• Maintain patch quality using Git, conduct thorough debugging with GDB, and ensure compliance with kernel ABI.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in C programming and deep understanding of Linux kernel core subsystems.
• Extensive experience with GDB and other debugging tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving, strategic thinking, and ability to work in an agile, fast‑paced environment.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
