Sample Preparation Technician

About the role

ALST is hiring a Sample Preparation Technician in Lima. The role involves preparing samples according to client requests and following ALS sample preparation protocols, within a global team focused on scientific testing and data-driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Order samples according to client requests.
• Notify the sample preparation supervisor about missing or additional samples and any non-conformities.
• Prepare samples according to client instructions on worksheets, following ALS sample preparation protocols.
• Master the crushing and splitting processes on equipment such as the Terminator and Boyd, grinding, sieving, Terraspec and pulp activation.
• Carry out other direct and indirect tasks related to sample preparation.
• Report non-conformities and deviations detected during the process.
• Report operational or safety incidents to the supervisor.
• Be fully responsible for health, safety and environmental compliance in the workplace, aligned with ALS values and its management system.

Required profile

• Citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or able to obtain a valid working visa.
