Senior Digital Solution Engineer

About the role

ABB is hiring a Senior Digital Solution Engineer in Lima, Peru, within the Automation Business Area. The role reports to the Marketing & Sales Manager and works in a hybrid model. It focuses on helping customers adopt and operate ABB's digital solutions, improving their productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to onboard digital solutions and support their adoption, operations and maintenance
• Test and troubleshoot the final system setup, train and retrain customers, and provide ongoing support
• Take part in the full customer lifecycle: opportunity identification, qualification, discovery, value engineering, solution blueprinting, PoC/pilot, deployment and post-go-live support
• Run ideation workstreams with digital software engineers, UX and subject matter experts
• Support customers from the sales cycle through go-live, post-implementation review and follow-up
• Develop and implement the sales strategy for the digital portfolio and build the sales pipeline to closure
• Analyze customer needs and design tailored digital solutions, including software, hardware or cloud-based systems
• Hold discovery workshops, assess value at sites, present solutions and manage objections

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation or a related field
• 15+ years of professional experience in industrial, mining, automation, digitalization or related fields, with strong knowledge of mining industrial processes
• Advanced English proficiency and willingness to travel
