Senior Investment Officer - Climate Finance (LAC)

About the Role

Join a leading impact asset manager with 20 years of expertise and a $5 billion portfolio dedicated to sustainable development. As an Investment Officer for Climate Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving the transition to a low-carbon economy across the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region.

Main Missions

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with Financial Institutions (FIs) throughout the LAC region.
• Lead the end-to-end investment process, including origination, due diligence, execution, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Drive the development of green lending strategies for partner institutions, assessing market potential for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate adaptation projects.
• Collaborate closely with regional teams to expand climate finance activities and support the Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF).
• Provide tailored technical assistance to help FIs build their green lending capacities.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in investment management, private debt, or climate finance within emerging markets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct complex financial due diligence.
• Deep understanding of the renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) sectors.
• Excellent relationship management skills with a focus on institutional clients.
• Ability to work autonomously in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
