Senior Java Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Java expertise to design, develop and maintain scalable backend solutions for our enterprise clients. This fully remote position supports projects based in Peru and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services to enable enterprise‑level functionality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance application performance, reliability and maintainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering or Java development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
