Senior Java Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

Coforge is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specialized in Java to join its remote team. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend applications that power enterprise‑level solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot and micro‑services architecture.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support complex business workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver secure, reliable software.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance application performance, reliability and maintainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend Java development.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, micro‑services and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
