Senior Medical Project Coordinator

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Medical Project Coordinator to lead and manage medical projects across multiple programs. In this role you will ensure alignment, compliance, and optimal performance throughout the project lifecycle while representing the company within the medical research community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and evaluate medical projects, ensuring consistency with internal processes and stakeholder expectations.
• Perform first‑pass safety data reviews using linelistings, dashboards, and visualization tools, identifying trends and potential issues.
• Lead medical monitoring services when SAE case processing is not contracted and act as primary contact for clinical project teams.
• Create and maintain medical management plans, ensuring they reflect contractual obligations.
• Monitor project financial status, forecast units, track actuals, and manage staff allocations.
• Escalate financial or operational risks and participate in risk‑management meetings.
• Determine out‑of‑scope work hours and support contract modifications.
• Present at business development, client, and investigator meetings and contribute to strategy calls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Extensive experience coordinating medical or clinical projects, preferably within pharma/biotech environments.
• Proven ability to work independently, resolve complex problems, and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of safety data review processes and regulatory compliance.
