Technical Sales Representative - Material Characterization

About the role

Anton Paar Peru is looking for a highly driven, results-oriented Technical Sales Representative to lead direct sales of its measuring instruments within assigned territories in Peru and Bolivia. The role suits someone with strong technical acumen and commercial agility who wants to grow their pipeline and expand the market in analytical instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Sell Anton Paar instruments directly to customers in assigned territories and exceed the agreed sales budget
• Act as the main technical and commercial contact for customers, coordinating internally for timely solutions
• Maintain and update a project pipeline with enough projects to meet targets
• Generate new opportunities through outbound channels (contacts, social media networking) and inbound channels (lead follow-up, cold calls, leads from headquarters)
• Keep track of competitors' strengths and weaknesses in the territory
• Prepare and run commercial action plans in target markets
• Take part in organizing marketing and lead-generation events such as seminars, webinars, conferences and power weeks
• Meet quarterly and annual sales targets and keep the CRM up to date for opportunity tracking
• Sell instruments in rheology, thermal analysis, torque rheometers, tribology, extrusion, texture analysis and other material characterization techniques

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics or Chemical Engineering
• Several years of experience in technical sales of analytical instruments preferred; experience selling measurement instruments is an advantage
• Good hands-on skills with measurement equipment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and mathematical skills
• Strong written and verbal English
• Immediate availability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to manage several accounts at once, work independently and in a team
