Freelance Linguistics Specialist – English to Brazilian Portuguese

About the role

We are seeking bilingual speakers to join Editage’s global pool of freelance contributors, providing flexible, task‑based support for AI and language projects. The role focuses on English‑to‑Brazilian Portuguese work and can be performed entirely remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and refine texts, translations, and captions across topics such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
• Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks.
• Label or annotate voice, text, or image content for AI training.
• Review and correct AI‑generated outputs.
• Assist in localizing content for AI models.

Required profile

• Near‑native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese and strong command of English.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Prior experience in translation, editing, or related language tasks is preferred.
