Senior Browser-Based Device Engineer (Remote – Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Browser‑Based Device (BBD) Engineer to design, develop, and optimise high‑performance Smart TV applications for platforms such as LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, and other connected TV ecosystems. You will own the full product lifecycle, from technical design through store submission, certification, and post‑release support, while collaborating closely with product, design, and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and maintain BBD applications for LG webOS, Samsung Tizen and other TV platforms.
• Implement pixel‑perfect UIs from Figma designs, adapting them to device‑specific constraints.
• Own the end‑to‑end development lifecycle, including store submission, certification and post‑release support.
• Optimise memory usage, navigation responsiveness and video playback performance.
• Build and extend SDK components tailored for BBD platforms.
• Manage media playback pipelines, including DRM integration, buffering and adaptive streaming.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for BBD applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug and support production applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality features on schedule.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building commercial TV applications for LG webOS, Samsung Tizen or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Smart TV app architectures and device constraints.
• Hands‑on experience with media playback APIs (AVPlay, webOS media APIs, ExoPlayer) and DRM/adaptive streaming.
• Experience creating SDK components and remote‑control navigation flows.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
