Solution Engineer

About the role

China Mobile International Limited is seeking a Solution Engineer to join its Peru team. The role works closely with account managers and support teams to identify customer opportunities, design tailored network solutions, and ensure successful service delivery across a global IP backbone.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customers' existing networks and gather technical requirements through direct communication.
• Design optimal solutions using CMI product portfolios and solution templates.
• Keep sales, product, and network teams informed of product updates and market technical trends.
• Provision and test IP transit, MPLS VPN, IPX services, and backbone circuits.
• Collaborate with the Hong Kong network department and third‑party vendors for daily operations and equipment upgrades.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 2 years of hands‑on experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years in IT, telecommunications, or network engineering.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and internal teams.
• Mandarin language ability is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of transport and IP technologies.
• Experience with network automation, SD‑WAN, VOIP, and global PBX (optional).
• Proficiency in carrier‑class, multi‑brand router and switch configuration.
• Layer 3 routing, MPLS, and Layer 2 switching expertise.
• Familiarity with Cisco network equipment; CCNP certification preferred, CCIE a plus.
