Electrical Engineer – Mining & Metals Projects

About the role

Bechtel is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support its Mining & Metals projects in Lima. You will work on the design, development, and evaluation of electrical components and processes that enable the production of critical minerals for clean‑energy technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Participate in the design, development, and modification of components and processes for generation, transmission, and storage of electricity.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, specialty groups, clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, and proposals.
• Provide technical assistance to other electrical personnel and support project functions.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to use independent judgment to adapt and modify engineering methods.
• Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in project‑oriented environments, preferably in mining or infrastructure.

Required skills

• Electrical design and analysis.
• Knowledge of power generation, transmission, and storage principles.
• Familiarity with engineering department procedures and standards.
