Java Web Developer – LATAM

About the role

Neo Group is seeking a Java Web Developer to build and maintain dynamic web applications for its Latin American clients. You will work with Java‑based server‑side technologies and collaborate with designers, back‑end engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop server‑side web logic using Java EE, Jakarta EE or Spring MVC.
• Build and maintain web UIs with JSP, Thymeleaf or integrate modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Design and query relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) ensuring efficient schema and performance.
• Implement and consume RESTful web services, documenting endpoints clearly.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility, responsive layouts and apply OWASP security best practices.
• Maintain and deploy applications on servlet containers such as Tomcat, JBoss or WildFly.

Required profile

• 2+ years of Java web development experience.
• Solid understanding of the request‑response lifecycle and HTTP fundamentals.
• Practical experience with Spring MVC or Java EE/Jakarta EE.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with server‑side templating (Thymeleaf, JSP) and SQL/JDBC/JPA/Hibernate.
• Familiarity with deploying applications on Tomcat, JBoss or WildFly.
• Fluent English communication skills.
