Marketing Assistant – Social Media & Website Optimization (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Marketing Assistant to support a US‑based digital marketing consultancy. You will manage social media channels, optimise client websites, and create high‑quality content that drives engagement and conversions. This fully remote position works on US Federal holidays and follows a 9 am‑5 pm CST schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Social Media Management: create, design (Canva) and schedule posts, perform basic video editing, and ensure flawless grammar.
• Content & Copywriting: write press releases, blogs, newsletters and promotional emails.
• Digital Auditing: conduct audits and produce reports identifying growth opportunities.
• Website & Directory Management: make basic edits on WordPress, Wix and Shopify; manage Google Business Listings and Yelp.
• SEO Optimization: improve on‑page SEO (meta tags, alt text, site structure) and monitor site speed and user experience.
• Account Support: assist the supervisor with account management tasks and special projects.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in social media management, website optimisation or digital marketing.
• Proficiency with Canva and basic video editing.
• Basic knowledge of WordPress, Wix and social media scheduling tools.
• Advanced English grammar with the ability to author professional blogs and press releases.
• Experience in a digital marketing agency is a strong plus.
• Experience managing Google Business Listings, Yelp and other online directories.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
