Senior Experience Designer – Product & Design Platform

About the role

Thoughtworks is looking for a Senior Experience Designer to shape digital products and services within complex ecosystems. You will work in cross‑functional teams, bridging design, product, and engineering to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of technology projects, creating journey maps, service blueprints, prototypes, and design systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, understanding technical trade‑offs and operating in agile delivery contexts.
• Drive discovery and research activities, turning insights into concrete product and platform decisions.
• Facilitate workshops, develop design strategies, and connect user insights to business direction.
• Support less‑experienced designers and contribute to Thoughtworks’ broader design community.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (both non‑negotiable).
• Strong collaborative mindset, comfortable presenting to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and building client trust.
• Passion for contributing to the experience design community.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience across the full design cycle: discovery, prototyping, and delivery.
• Prototyping at multiple fidelity levels as a core practice.
• Experience with Design Systems or Design Platforms in a product context.
• Ability to lead and advise research using contextual inquiry, moderated interviews, usability testing, and experiments.
• Systemic thinking to scale design decisions across teams, products, or journeys.
