On-Site Property Manager for Sol Y Luna Apartments

About the role

The John Stewart Company seeks an experienced On‑Site Property Manager to oversee daily operations at Sol Y Luna Apartments, a Family Tax Credit building. You will ensure the property runs smoothly, complies with all regulatory requirements, and provides excellent service to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Apply property rules, lease documents, and report violations consistently.
• Maintain accurate resident files at move‑in and each recertification per regulatory guidelines.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and, when necessary, terminate on‑site staff.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, and other applicable programs.
• Collect deposits and rents, complete certifications, and manage required documentation.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and complaints.
• Oversee work orders and turnover of vacant units in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Basic mathematical skills and strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Minimum two years of management, training, and evaluation experience with Tax Credit properties.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential; Boston Post software knowledge is a plus.
