Elixir Backend Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join its talent network and work on remote, project‑based assignments for U.S. clients. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Build and support backend services that power mobile applications (React Native).
• Integrate third‑party APIs and ensure reliable connectivity.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, Ecto) and optimize data models.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and automated testing suites.
• Improve legacy codebases for reliability and maintainability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and Phoenix.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams on large, complex systems.
