Founding DevRel Lead

About the role

Payward is building the next generation of open finance infrastructure and needs a founding leader to create its Developer & Agent Interface function. As the Founding DevRel Lead, you will shape how developers and AI agents discover, integrate, and use Payward’s APIs, SDKs, wallets, and emerging agent interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end developer activation across APIs, SDKs, CLIs, MCP servers, wallets, and agent interfaces.
• Drive adoption metrics such as API usage, SDK installs, production integrations, GitHub engagement, and agent retrievals.
• Build quickstarts, reference implementations, SDKs, CLIs, MCP servers, and tooling that simplify integration.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure every launch is developer‑ready and agent‑friendly from day one.
• Define discovery, onboarding, and interaction experiences for developers and AI agents.
• Create the playbook, standards, and ecosystem engagement strategy for a brand‑new DevRel function.

Required profile

• Proven experience building developer relations or platform adoption programs from the ground up.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with engineering, product, and growth teams.
• Strategic mindset to define long‑term developer experience and ecosystem growth.
• Ability to lead and scale a new organization as it matures.
