Fullstack Developer – Node.js, React & AWS

About the role

You will join Applaudo as a senior full‑stack engineer in a remote‑first environment. You will own complex, cloud‑native systems from design through production, shaping architectural decisions while mentoring teammates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop high‑performance REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Implement event‑driven architectures with AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway.
• Model and optimise data access patterns in DynamoDB, including single‑table design and cost‑efficient scaling.
• Support hybrid migrations from legacy SQL systems to serverless solutions.
• Provision infrastructure with AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) covering linting, testing, builds and deployments.
• Ensure production readiness via logging, monitoring and observability (CloudWatch or similar).
• Build performant front‑end applications with React, TypeScript and modern state‑management patterns.
• Collaborate with product, backend and frontend teams, participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven senior‑level experience building full‑stack applications with Node.js, TypeScript and React.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
