IBMi Engineer – Remote (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IBMi Engineer to maintain and evolve critical business systems built on IBM Power hardware. The role is fully remote and focuses on ensuring stability, efficiency and security of both legacy and modern IBMi environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise IBM Power Systems using HMC and PowerVM virtualization.
• Ensure system availability and data protection through PowerHA and backup‑recovery strategies.
• Develop and modernise enterprise applications with RPG and Control Language (CL).
• Manage security and performance monitoring using Fortra toolsets and native IBMi utilities.
• Perform system upgrades, patching and firmware management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate IBMi workloads into cloud and hybrid architectures.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in IBMi (AS/400) systems engineering or administration.
• Proven expertise in IBM Power Systems administration, including HMC and PowerVM.
• Strong proficiency in RPG and CL programming.
• Hands‑on experience with PowerHA and Fortra backup/high‑availability solutions.
• Advanced English communication skills.
