IT Support Level 2 (Remote)

About the role

A U.S.-based organization is looking for a proactive IT Support Specialist at Level 2 (mid-senior) to provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex IT issues and maintain reliable IT infrastructure. The role is fully remote, with a Monday to Friday schedule of 8:30am to 5:30pm EST.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve hardware, software, system and network issues at Level 2.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Windows, macOS, Linux (Debian and Proxmox) and Windows Server environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Perform remote software installations, configurations, updates and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, manage IP addressing and support local network administration.
• Configure and maintain antivirus, firewall, VPN, email filtering and DNS security solutions.
• Support backup and virtualization environments (Proxmox and Hyper-V).
• Manage remote access tools such as ConnectWise and RustDesk.
• Monitor and resolve support tickets, create technical documentation and escalate complex incidents.

Required profile

• Mid-senior experience in IT support, help desk or systems administration with strong Level 2 troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux servers, including Debian and Proxmox.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing) and experience with pfSense, UniFi and OPNsense.
• Basic to intermediate scripting in PowerShell and Bash; ticketing and documentation tools such as ConnectWise and IT Glue.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests and communicate clearly with users.
