MongoDB Database Support Engineer – Remote (Americas)

About the role

Join Percona as a MongoDB Database Support Engineer, providing top‑tier technical support to customers across the Americas. You will work remotely, solving complex deployment challenges and helping shape the future of open‑source database services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional technical support for MongoDB, handling demanding customer environments.
• Resolve complex performance, configuration, and scaling issues.
• Assist fellow support engineers and lead blogging and content creation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and other departments to influence roadmap.
• Travel occasionally for team meetings, conferences, or customer visits.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of MongoDB and relational databases (schema design, performance tuning, backup, replication, sharding).
• Hands‑on experience administering Linux systems.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean).
• Methodical troubleshooting skills and ability to think creatively on complex problems.
• Willingness to expand skill set with new technologies.
• Experience working with customers in English and completion of MongoDB University courses.
