Pricing Analyst - Project Cargo (Peru)

About the role

Maersk is hiring a Pricing Analyst (Project Cargo) in Peru, acting as a Procurement and Pricing Specialist for oversized and overweight cargo. The role supports product growth by responding quickly and competitively to customer quote requests and preparing door-to-door logistics solutions for project cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Provide spot rate quotations on time and accurately.
• Procure ocean seafreight rates from shipping lines (containers, break bulk and roll-on/roll-off vessels).
• Procure on-shore services from vendors such as port terminals, heavy-haul trucking companies and stuffing/unstuffing providers.
• Support commercial teams, the overseas network and other internal and external stakeholders with pricing and product information.
• Maintain regional and local pricing tools and drive improvements.
• Provide analytics and reporting on volume and margin trends.
• Collaborate with local Product Managers and Product Developers, and make independent pricing analyses and suggestions.
• Optimize and standardize the pricing and quotation process, model quantitative scenarios and recommend ways to improve sales conversion.
• Create and manage pricing guidelines and processes, and work with the implementation team on strategies, timelines and cost estimates.
• Coordinate across products and functions so a complete solution can be presented to clients, and run supplier market analysis and market intelligence.

Required profile

• 3-5+ years of experience designing Project Cargo solutions.
• Proven experience designing solutions for sectors such as mining, energy and astronomy.
• Deep understanding of how process changes affect productivity and financials.
• Experience in MPL or logistics operations, including implementation.
• Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations from limited or ambiguous data.
• Fluent English.
