Public Cloud Solution Architect

About the role

Canonical is hiring a Public Cloud Solution Architect to lead joint initiatives and technical engagements with major public cloud partners. The role works closely with engineering, sales and product teams across Canonical and cloud providers, acting as the technical counterpart to the Cloud Alliance GTM Lead. It is a remote position based in the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering and alliance teams at public cloud partners to align on open‑source strategies.
• Ensure Canonical’s product requirements are clear and delivery is executed as planned.
• Maintain relationships with engineering teams to integrate and optimise Ubuntu on public clouds.
• Act as product champion and primary contact for named cloud partners, coordinating messaging, content creation and launch plans.
• Drive Ubuntu adoption across cloud products and deliver first‑party offerings with subscription components.

Required profile

• Strong interest and working understanding of public cloud technologies.
• Outstanding academic record or a compelling alternative technical background.
• Confidence to speak up, meet commitments and deliver results.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills in business English.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
