Python Developer – Remote Backend Engineer

About the role

BairesDev is seeking an experienced Python Developer to design, build, and operate backend services and data processing systems in AWS. You will work on distributed microservices and asynchronous pipelines, owning the full lifecycle from design to production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain asynchronous and batch processing systems with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, and ECS.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate services in AWS environments.
• Debug production issues, improve reliability, performance, and observability of distributed systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production backend experience with Python.
• Strong experience with FastAPI and event‑driven architecture on AWS.
• Proven ability to build distributed, asynchronous systems.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
