Senior Frontend Engineer – Consumer Apps

About the role

Kraken is seeking a senior frontend engineer to shape the consumer experience of its crypto trading platform. You will work on both web and mobile applications, turning user needs into high‑quality, data‑driven features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain consumer‑facing features using React (web) and React Native (mobile).
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery through release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Drive A/B testing and experimentation, formulate hypotheses, analyse results, and iterate based on data.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and platform teams to create cohesive experiences across all consumer surfaces.
• Make informed technical decisions on frameworks and architecture, such as TanStack Router versus Next.js App Router.
• Mentor engineers of varying seniority and champion best practices for code quality, accessibility, performance, and testability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience building large‑scale web and mobile applications.
• Strong product mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence technical direction.
