About the role

Kraken is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Pro team and help build high‑quality trading applications for crypto professionals. You will work with a globally distributed team, using modern JavaScript and TypeScript technologies to deliver reliable, performant user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React‑based applications for Kraken Pro.
• Set and enforce high‑quality coding standards across the team.
• Influence technical decisions and contribute to product and domain strategy.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers, providing constructive feedback.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and fault‑tolerant systems.
• Lead complex initiatives and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software development experience, focusing on web applications.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and the React ecosystem.
• Strong experience with API design, security, and performance optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with Next.js and WebSockets.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and modern build pipelines.
