Site Reliability Engineer – LATAM

About the role

Juspay is building a five‑nine availability platform that spans multiple data‑centers in an active‑active configuration. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will help design, implement, and operate the next generation of our distributed, fault‑tolerant systems for the LATAM market.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy active‑active architectures across geographic data‑centers.
• Upgrade the system to handle 10× current transaction volume while maintaining 99.999% uptime.
• Implement LSM‑engine based distributed databases and service‑mesh solutions for cross‑cluster failover.
• Develop event‑sourcing and event‑mesh pipelines to move critical operations off the main request path.
• Create multi‑region client‑side caching with strong eventual consistency.
• Build automatic anomaly‑detection pipelines using real‑time streaming data.
• Integrate unified SRE tooling to monitor and manage services across data‑centers and banking partners.

Required profile

• Strong interest in distributed systems and high‑availability engineering.
• Willingness to work with functional programming concepts and cutting‑edge infrastructure.
• Ability to learn quickly and contribute in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment.

Required skills

• Haskell (primary backend language).
• Experience with Kubernetes and service‑mesh architectures.
• Knowledge of LSM‑engine databases and distributed data stores.
• Familiarity with event sourcing, event‑mesh, and streaming data pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with anomaly detection, monitoring, and SRE practices.
• Understanding of multi‑DC active‑active networking and caching strategies.
