Software Engineer - Frontend - Payments

About the role

Kraken is looking for a senior Frontend Software Engineer to join its Payments & Blockchain team. You will help design and build high‑quality payment processing interfaces that enable fast, secure movement of digital and fiat funds for crypto traders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment‑related UI components using React.js.
• Collaborate with backend and blockchain teams to integrate on‑chain transaction data into the user experience.
• Ensure transaction flows are fast, reliable, and meet the highest security standards.
• Improve onboarding experiences to reduce friction for users interacting with payment features.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in secure, maintainable code.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in fintech or crypto.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, high‑performance frontend applications.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for the crypto ecosystem.
