SysAdmin II for Applications (OpenShift/AWS)

About the role

Qualifacts, a provider of behavioral health software and SaaS solutions, is looking for a System Administrator for Applications (OpenShift/AWS) in Lima. The role manages, configures and secures a hybrid IT infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud environments, with direct interaction with other teams to deploy new components, set up monitoring for new releases, write and maintain runbooks and take part in reviewing new technology before it goes into production. The company attends the office twice per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing, configuring and maintaining application software on-premises and in the cloud.
• Work with senior team members to deploy and release updated software versions.
• Support installations and updates in line with Change Control policies.
• Help develop and maintain application configurations and runbook documentation.
• Evaluate and apply patches under the guidance of senior staff.
• Research and suggest tools or technologies for hybrid infrastructures.
• Monitor system performance, review audit logs and escalate findings.
• Provide technical support to the IT Operations team to improve workflows and procedures.

Required profile

• Solid intermediate English proficiency.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting Java applications in enterprise environments.

Required skills

• Container technologies such as OpenShift, Docker or Kubernetes.
• AWS services or similar cloud technologies.
• Application servers such as Apache Tomcat or Oracle Application Server.
• Scripting with Bash or Python; automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
