Business Development Manager

About the role

Mastercard’s Peru team is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead relationships with strategic clients across retail, fintech and digital partners. The role will drive business growth, product adoption and ecosystem expansion in the payments market.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute commercial strategies for key payments players in Peru, aligned with global and regional priorities.
• Build and strengthen relationships with local and regional retailers, digital partners and fintechs to identify opportunities and deliver value.
• Act as the connector between local and regional teams, ensuring cohesive execution of Mastercard’s strategy and sharing best practices.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Services and Operations teams to implement business plans and track performance.
• Maintain a strong commercial pipeline with disciplined follow‑up and high conversion rates.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions.
• Negotiate and execute customer agreements, ensuring alignment with objectives and process excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management or business development within the payments, fintech or retail sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies.
