Contracts Administrator

About the role

The Contracts Administrator will ensure that all contractual obligations are met on the Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant project in Peru. You will work closely with contractors, monitor safety and quality standards, and support project planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor contract performance and track progress against schedule and budget.
• Administer assigned contracts, reviewing progress and flagging potential financial or technical issues.
• Lead meetings, presentations and training sessions with internal teams and contractors.
• Prepare periodic status reports for senior management.
• Negotiate and process moderate to complex contract changes.
• Coordinate operational activities that affect contractual rights and obligations.
• Represent Bechtel in contract negotiations and high‑complexity contractual discussions.
• Verify compliance with contract formation and administration procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in contract administration within large‑scale construction or mining projects.
• Understanding of safety and quality requirements for industrial facilities.
• Ability to supervise contractor progress and prepare accurate reports.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with contractors and internal stakeholders.
