Spanish-English Simultaneous Interpreter (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for highly skilled bilingual interpreters who can deliver simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in English and Spanish for conferences, meetings, symposiums and other professional gatherings. The role is freelance and offers flexible scheduling through a mobile platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous and consecutive interpretation from English to Spanish and vice‑versa in a variety of settings.
• Analyze spoken and written messages quickly and convey them orally with precision.
• Uphold professional ethics and confidentiality in all interpreting assignments.
• Collaborate with research groups to improve communication practices related to human well‑being and information quality.

Required profile

• Certification as a community interpreter with at least a 40‑hour training program.
• Minimum two years of experience in community interpretation.
• Proven ability to perform simultaneous, consecutive, and whisper interpretation.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites and adapt to culturally sensitive situations.
